In Progress Quickbms Translation Problem

Post by GendaFX Tue Jun 04, 2013 2:58 pm

Hi Everybody, i'm a new member on this forum and i'm trying my best to translate the game for SSO Players all around the world.

I'm not alone, but the only thing i can translate is the launcher and the server list.
Recently I found that I can modify game by using Quickbms.

I used the script.pck file and this script :

Spoiler:

I can extract files easily and modify .lua files (example :  common.lua) but when I repack the files I have this :

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Can someone please help me ?

EDIT : I forgot two things, when I extract the file, I have 322 files (not 319 like portugese script.pck)
And when i compress it, it says : - compressed file size is too big, I try using the uberflate/kzip method (may be very slow !

My script.pck size is : 6036 Ko, so is this normal ?

Hi, I'm doing something like you do, the problem is the lenght of the edited file.... for example the "original" question_db.lua file size is 51.5 KB (52,758 bytes) disc size 20.0 KB (20,480 bytes) and your edited question_db.lua must be less than the original file size to be able to reimport.

I'm aware of the issue that SSO auto-updates for every patch, which renders most original scripts to be ovewritten; so we're going to have to develop a 3-way gui that auto-patches the .lua files, with that said I am not very knowledgable with coding, so we're going to need the help of some others.

well i know cit does have basic coding skills though i don't think is able to create a GUI base but he may have improve over the years. Also i don't know if he would take his time out to help us.

BUT MAYBE<-- if one of his mod ask of him to do us that favor it can probably be done.

btw, you should try your script.pck first. cause the latest update 0.37. our old eng script.pck not work. the game will error, if we got that error we must re-download the client. make sure back-up the original script.pck, before you copy & paste the translate script.pck.

also, the latest update give new file in bin folder. file name is : seiya.exe

the error, from old script.pck

In Progress Unpack the original script.pck

Post by Suisei Fri Jun 27, 2014 3:33 pm

Hello guys !

I'm working on a french patch for Saint Seiya Online.
I use QuickBMS with the chrrox's script (that GendaFX posted at the beginning of this thread).

The extraction works fine with the script.pck from the english patch, but I want to work with the original file from the game.
All files are extracted but their is a big encoding or decryption problem.

Here is what I have when I open svn-hooks/pre-commit.lua with Notepad++. All files have this king of problem.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]imagik

I tried to use random different filexor key for the third statment in the script.bms, but nothing changes. Resulting files are strictly the same. It seems to have no influence.
Changing the other filexor keys stops the program and returns memory errors.

Do someone has an idea ?

I tried to use the pw-tools too. The sPCK.exe program is supposed to be able to extract .pck files, but when I use it, it returns this strange error :

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]imagik

The french statment seems "the input path cannot be found". OK, and what did you just create in the folder right here, fucking computer ?  :a1141

Here is the command line I use in a .bat script.

sPCK.exe -sso -x "script.pck"

Have a nice day ! ^^

Can you see that number one after []: ??
You probably translated someting wrong in that line.Or you also put some characters that the game can't read on the script like simbols.
Open your login.lua and correct that line, put on the script and should work!:)

Hi guys,

the thing is that there's no number so no clue where to find what's wrong.
I just took the login.lua already translated and made some changes to test it.
