Hi everyone, welcome to this tutorial in french AND English, because I saw that some members are French and I’m French too so I think it can be cool for them and also easier for me to explain. :)
Here we go ! / On y va !
Tutorial Français :
- Spoiler:
- Notepad++ 6.4.5
English Tutorial :
- Spoiler:
- First, you need to download my translation pack, here’s what the pack contains :
- Quickbms, essential software to extract files from all files. (already given by lishell)
- The script.bms file, a special script for SSO to extract files from script.pck (and only this file.)
- A Decompiler
- Notepad++ 6.4.5 (BTW : If it’s in French, just go in “Langue” and put it in English ;))
- Send2Toys (I will explain it later)
So, now let’s proceed :
With Quickbms and the script that I gave, you’re going to extract .lua files from script.pck. Piece of cake! Just open Quickbms, select the script.pck and after, click on the script.bms aaand finally, select a folder, all your files will be in that folder. You should create a folder especially for that.
Now, the files are extracted. Just take a .lua file(I’m taking the login.lua from i18n folder) and open it in notepad++, you just need to “save as” and do “all formats”(it’s under the filename) and name your file like you want but you must write “.luac”.(For me it’s : login.luac). Now go to the Decrypter and open the .bat file and follow the instructions. Now you have a .lua file fully decrypted. Pretty simple, huh? ^-^
« Why Send2Toys is needed », is that the question you ask to yourself? Good question. Send2Toys will “send” files to some programs that you can easily configure. Now you can right click on quickbms.exe and do -> send to commands(cmd).
When you have finished your work, you just have to recompile all the files! Simple advice : Make a new folder for ALL your modded files, it’ll be easier for you to modify it later. When you’ve done that, you can recompile the files by opening quickbms.exe with the cmd (remember : right click, send to, commands or cmd) and you will have a line which ends with “quickbms.exe”, you have to finish this line and make it like that at the end : quickbms.exe –w –r script.bms script.pck [ModdedFilesFolder]. Congratulations, you just made you own patch! :D

Re: [Guide] Decrypt .lua files from script.pck!(FR/EN)
No, there's a little misunderstanding ^^ I mean, I don't have a full chinese script. I haven't translate all the game yet, but I've got a major part of the game with translations, sometimes one or two lines, but If you want me to decompile a file which is only in chinese, you just have to give me the file. ^^
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I didn't made myself clear.

Re: [Guide] Decrypt .lua files from script.pck!(FR/EN)
Their problem is probably that, they can't put translated files back to script.pck. I have the same problem when I started doing english patch. Now I'm using other way to put the files back.
I do a shortcut of quickbms, open Properties(shortcut tab) of it and added in the end of target line "–w –r" to look like that "F:\****\SSO Translation\quickbms\quickbms.exe" -w -r. And as you know I don't have that problem anymore.
PS. And I'm not using "send to toys" thing. Is useless when I done the shortcut, because it works the same way.

I'm still using the "original" way, maybe the problem is some translated files are bigger than the original ones.... check that

You need to fully decrypt the file before start with translation(to make translation sense)

Then copy that .luac file to the folder with decompiler
Then open decompiler and do what program says. Now open newly created file(for example dec_login.lua) with notepad++ to start translation with sense.
Hope I helped.

Encoded the .lua with UTF-8 withoutBOM

Re: [Guide] Decrypt .lua files from script.pck!(FR/EN)
You need to put these translated files in original script.pck(Chinese One) not the one(0 KB) that quickbms(or whatever) made.
