I don't know if its related but since today or yesterday im getting out of the blue a golden box, and by getting I mean it shows up in the screen I click it and gives it a lot of exp : / don't know if that is it...

this event will start at 8pm and stop at 10pm (China Time). try the last TAB on daily event menu (BOSS). the boss spawn on open map. (similar with boss event in dbo -__-). check this.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] watch out, they 100x strong then other boss in dungeons.
also the boss give alot drop items, dont miss it..

I know about bosses but any idea what the event is about? I eas online during that time today but i couldn't do anything with the event, no link to click on.

that box u get every time some items good items so u can buy stuff for upgrading etc

It's a daily event, at specific time it will appear (you will see it)
