Netflix officially announced remake for the 90's anime!
Just recently Netflix announced official remake on the Original Anime of Saint Seiya, which follows the manga.
There will be twelve episodes, which will cover the first four chapters: The Tournament, Black Saints, Phoenix Ikki and Silver Saints. The anime is scheduled for a release in 2018, still date and month is unknown, there isn't even a trailer... but if Netflix is doing it... I have faith in them!
You can read the official news over here: Click here!
And you can find tons of information about it... on the internet when you type down Saint Seiya remake netflix in google... :)

I truly have faith in Netflix, they recently revived one more anime, and they did amazing job even thought it was CGI just like Saint Seiya Remake will be :)

Yeah they did great job with Castelvania. Plus this remake is done by Netflix majorly, TOEI will only participate. The Director is the one who did D-Gray Man. :)

12 episodes is a bit short and sad... lost canvas was good and it only has 26 episodes and that was short compare to omega which was horrible!!

Well, those 12 episodes will cover 4 chapters... if they mind the time with which they have to build one episode... they might be able to even add more content than what was released on the classic anime... but all those 114 episodes which Saint Seiya has in the 90s, could be gathered in one good batch of 57 episodes, half the episodes they released... Hades Chapter was well done, but what I really want to see is Episode G and Next Dimension animated... that would be more interesting... so lets hope that this anime will have huge rates so they can consider making more!

Very true. Whether it's this Netflix reboot or the upcoming Sho animation, supporting them brings about a higher possibly of other spin-offs being animated or new content in general. I'm not a very big fan of Sho but I'll be there to tune in for the ratings, depending on if they'll stream it on Crunchyroll as they did for SoG.
Besides, seeing everyone again, and animated? That's still pretty rad. Can't wait for Sho and even more so this Netflix reboot.
(Personally my wishlist would be G/Assassin G or the Giga Novel being animated)

Yep! it was announced quite a while back actually, but it seems that staff has been hush-hush about new Saint Seiya information -_- Not sure when the premier is though, I don't remember them giving specifics. Hopefully it's being worked on as of now so that by the time it is streamed, they would of had enough time for the quality to be decent (anything even slightly above SoG would be good).
Another than the announcement of a Sho anime, two posters have been released so far.
Also thanks, Hyoga appreciates the compliment.

There's quite a lot of fans actually! :D Initially, Saint Seiya was far more popular in Brazil, Mexico and France than it was in Japan though the popularity there might of changed over the years. Recently they had a big Saint Seiya con and it did much better than expected.
Basically besides Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya is one of the other Big Animes that is popular with Mexicans and Hispanics and it's something you'd see a lot with either popular artists or even people within the staff like Raúl Carvajal who is Mexican and was a head animator for LoS.
Those fans are spread over from Mexico to states like Texas or California that still hold small Saint Seiya cons (and those are for the visible active fans). Also very recently they started re-airing Saint Seiya in TV around here for the first time in years and it was a pretty big deal for fans down here cause many grew up watching it as kids, and now kids of this generation are gonna sit down and be watching Saint Seiya for the first time probably. Hopefully, when the new stuff comes out fans both outside the community and people online will become a little more active.
I know there was a big boom when SoG first started airing, but I wasn't a Saint Seiya fan at the time so I wasn't around for that. (My husband introduced the anime to me when he was rewatching it in Spanish for nostalgia)

Re: Netflix officially announced remake for the 90's anime!
I knew that there is a lot of fans over Mexico, France and Brazil, especially in Brazil... what I wanted is for the anime to be much more famous in North America and the rest of Europe (Beside France), like England, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and few other places, Germany too. This way the anime will hit the top. :)

Ah that's true, I wonder if releasing the upcoming reboot in English will give it the push it needs. :0 Also I'm assuming Saint Seiya didn't do as well in Greece? Interesting.
