You can't find better ones you can only upgrade them.

for example, in the Basic Guide, there is a blue stone, and I have a red one

because it was already upgraded, that is why the one there is blue and not red

the only thing you can do is buy a class specific item instead of the one you get from quest reward, you use player money to buy it but im not sure if they are worth to buy or if we should stick to the ones we get for free

If you are rich you can have multiple sets of equips for class change. Otherwise decide what stats you want before you start upgrading. No point getting a rock with ground attack to +11 then realize you like Phoenix better and should have upgraded a fire rock.

ok but knowing the class i want i should get those more class specific items and upgrade them instead of the normal one? or isnt there any big diference between them.

btw i have my 3 items only at level 4 so it would be easier to go for the other ones if that is indeed the best case scenario

Only the red rock really matters. At level +13 it's about 3000 extra elemental damage depending on which one you pick.
